Kingsley High School senior Claude Ockert has signed his national letter of intent to throw and run at Davenport University.
Claude has earned four letters in varsity track & field at Kingsley High School and it is now paying off. Ockert recently finished second at Northwest Conference Championships in three events – the 400m dash, 4x400m relay, and discus.
Ockert also played football for the Stags and is a member of the powerlifting club team in the winter. His track coach, Ron Hessem, states that Claude, “works hard, is very coachable, and is only beginning to realize his potential as a track & field athlete.”
Claude believes Davenport is a perfect fit based on its size and academic offerings. He is excited to take the next step in his track & field career, and plans on majoring in Business Management.
