Brent Steed Wins District Championship, King Advances to regionals

Brent Steed won the district wrestling championship (102 lbs.) at Grayling on Saturday.  Brent defeated Logan Culver of Boyne City in the quarters by fall.  He won his semifinal match over AJ South of Boyne City 10-2, and won his final match over Lane Matzke of Gladstone 12-1. Jake King Wins Mid-Michigan Conference Championship

Jake King is now a 3-time Mid-Michigan Conference Champion.  He defeated Ryder Christensen from Manton 10-9 on Saturday.  Jake will be back in action in the team districts at Kalkaska on Wednesday, and the Individual districts at Grayling on Saturday, 2/11/17.

Hoopin for Hope

Friday, January 20th marked the 10th year for the Hoopin for Hope Cancer Night for Kingsley basketball.  In that time, the basketball program has raised over $40,000 to donate to local families affected by cancer.  Great Job Coach Schelich

Competitive Cheer Takes 1st Place at Harrison

Congratulations to the varsity competitive cheer program for taking 1st place in Division 3 at Harrison’s “Cheer at the Hive” Invitational this past weekend.  This is the 2nd first-place finish for the cheer program this season.
